Surface Preparation and Application Method

The surfaces to be applied are cleaned of oil, dirt, dust and swollen paint residues. Surface irregularities are corrected with putty. Old painted surfaces must be sanded. The knots on the wooden surfaces to be newly painted are burned and tree resins are cleaned with cellulosic thinner, and the wood is saturated with preservative. All surfaces whose subsurface processes are completed are primed with Gen Synthetic Primer and Gen American Panel Door Paint is applied as the final coat.
