Gen Anticorrosive Rapid Primer
Rapid is an alkyd resin based, air drying, metal surface protective primer paint with rust preventive and protective properties on metal surfaces.
Surface Preparation and Application Method
The application surfaces should be cleaned of any substance that may reduce adhesion. Metal surfaces should be sandblasted (sand blasted) to a minimum of Sa2 ½ (ISO 8501-1, SSPC-SP10) and the blasted surface should be primed with Gen Anticorrosive Rapid Primer within 6 hours. The product, which is diluted according to the application equipment, is applied by mixing thoroughly until it becomes homogeneous. After the primer has dried (after 4 - 6 hours), the final coat is applied. The surface temperature should be at least 3 degrees higher than the dew point. Application should not be done near the dew point. It is necessary to wait 24 hours between the coats in the final coat application. Application Temperature: Min +10°C / Max +30°C.
Dilution / Mixing Ratio
It should be applied in at least 2 coats by diluting with max. 15-20% industrial thinner.
