Gen Natural Stone Data
It is a transparent varnish based on solvent-based acrylic resin, resistant to impact, friction, weak acid and basic solutions, forming a glossy film on the surface it is applied to. It is formulated to adhere very well to decorative stone surfaces and to preserve the natural color of the stone. It is a single component, weather-proof and non-yellowing final coat varnish system.
Surface Preparation and Application Method
Gen Stone Varnish is applied to decorative stone surfaces with a roller or brush in two coats, wet on wet. Surfaces should be protected from rain and frost for at least 6-8 hours after the final coat application. The surfaces to be applied should be cleaned and cleared of all kinds of oil, dirt, loose, swollen tissue and old painted surfaces.
Dilution / Mixing Ratio
It is applied by diluting it by 15-20% with cellulosic thinner and by spraying it by 30-35% using a brush.
Paintable (Coatable) Area
When applied to leave a dry film thickness of 35-40 microns in a single coat, 8-10 m² / lt area can be covered with 1 lt (excluding losses).
Drying Time
(At 20°C temperature, 50%rr) It is dust dry in 5 minutes, touch dry in 10 minutes and fully dry in 4 hours.
