Gen Metallic Paint
Rapid alkyd resin based, air drying, extra metallic top coat paint.
Surface Preparation and Application Method
The application surfaces should be cleaned of any substance that will reduce adhesion. Metal surfaces should be ideally sandblasted to at least Sa2 ½ and primed with industrial primer or rapid primer within 6 hours. After the primer has dried (after 2 hours), the final coat is applied. The surface temperature should be at least 10°C. Application should not be done on surfaces around the dew point or on wet or damp surfaces.
Dilution / Mixing Ratio
It should be applied in at least 2 coats by diluting with max. 20% industrial thinner.
Paintable (Coatable) Area
Approximately 12-14 m²/kg. (25-30 ƒÊ dry film thickness...) In airbrush application, 10-12 m² (25-30 ƒÊ dry film thickness...) area can be painted with 1 kg. There are losses in airbrush application. Application amounts may vary according to color.
Drying Time
At 20°C, it completes dust-proof drying in 20-30 minutes, touch-drying in 2-3 hours, and hard-drying in 24 hours. It completes chemical drying in at least 5 days.
