Gen Epoxy - Solvent Based Epoxy Paint
Gen Epoxy Solvent Epoxy Paint, epoxy resin based, two component, reaction drying
and is an epoxy topcoat paint cured with polyamide hardener.
Surface Preparation and Application Method
The application surfaces should be cleaned of any substance that will reduce adhesion. Metal surfaces should be sandblasted to at least Sa2 ½ and primed with Gen Epoxy Anticorrosive Primer within 6 hours. After the primer has dried (after 4-6 hours), the final coat is applied. After the final coat is mixed with the hardener in the specified proportions, 10-15 minutes should be waited for the pre-reaction before application. The surface temperature should be at least 10°C. Application should not be done around the dew point.
Dilution / Mixing Ratio
4 parts Epoxy Paint + 1 part Epoxy Paint Hardener by weight. 10-15% Epoxy Thinner should be used for thinning.
Paintable (Coatable) Area
8-9 m²/ kg (paint+hardener/50 micron dry film thickness)
Drying Time
Touch dryness 4-6 hours depending on thickness. Wait at least 18 hours before applying a layer. Reaches mechanical resistance in 4-6 days.

Brush, roller, airless spray gun.
