An air-drying primer based on rapid alkyd resin. Its fast drying shortens painting time on production lines and provides a sound, compatible base for Gen Rapid and Gen Industrial topcoats.

Use and Application
AREAS OF USE
Used in industrial plants, on steel components, and in the machinery and vehicle-body industries.
SURFACE PREPARATION AND APPLICATION
The surface must be clean and dry, and free from oil, grease, dust, rust, salts and any contamination that could reduce adhesion. Metal surfaces must be abrasive blast-cleaned to at least Sa 2½ according to ISO 8501-1 and primed with Gen Rapid Primer within 6 hours of blasting. Thin the product to suit the application equipment and stir until homogeneous. Apply the topcoat once the primer has dried (4–6 hours); allow 24 hours between topcoats. Application temperature: min. +10 °C / max. +30 °C. Surface temperature must be at least 3 °C above the dew point; do not apply on wet or damp surfaces.
