Genepox Primer
2K · Epoxy polyamide · Zinc phosphate
Two-component, polyamide-cured anticorrosive epoxy primer with zinc phosphate.
A two-component, reaction-curing anticorrosive primer based on epoxy resin, cured with a polyamide hardener and containing zinc phosphate. It has high filling power and forms a sound base for subsequent coats. It adheres excellently to sheet steel, galvanised steel and aluminium.

TECHNICAL DOCUMENTS
Use and Application
AREAS OF USE
Used on steel structures and machinery, particularly in heavy industrial atmospheres where high corrosion resistance is required. Performs strongly as a primer for metal and mineral surfaces exposed to water, seawater, chemicals and abrasion, in general industry, machinery manufacturing, metal protection and marine applications.
SURFACE PREPARATION AND APPLICATION
The surface must be clean and dry, and free from oil, grease, dust, rust, salts and any contamination that could reduce adhesion. Metal surfaces must be abrasive blast-cleaned to at least Sa 2½ according to ISO 8501-1 and primed with Genepox Primer within 6 hours of blasting. Mix 7 parts Genepox Primer with 1 part hardener by weight and allow an induction time of 10–15 minutes. Depending on surface and ambient temperature, thin by 10–15% with 016 Gen Epoxy Thinner. At 60 µm dry film thickness, 1 kg of mixed material covers 7–8 m²; practical consumption varies with surface roughness and application losses. Surface temperature must be at least 3 °C above the dew point; do not apply on wet or damp surfaces.
