Genfloor Self Levelling Basecoat

2K · Solvent-free epoxy · Basecoat

Solvent-free epoxy self-levelling basecoat to build the required thickness between primer and topcoat.

A two-component, solvent-free epoxy self-levelling basecoat. It is designed to be applied between primer and topcoat to reach the required film thickness, optimising the total cost of the system.

Use and Application

AREAS OF USE

Used in self-levelling floor systems between primer and topcoat, in production, storage and logistics areas requiring thickness and mechanical strength.

SURFACE PREPARATION AND APPLICATION

New concrete must be cured for at least 28 days; surface moisture must not exceed 4%. Remove weak surface layers, laitance, oil, curing compounds and old coating residues by milling, shot-blasting or diamond grinding; remove the dust with an industrial vacuum. Repair cracks and holes with epoxy repair mortar. Prime the surface with 640 Genfloor Primer. Mix components A and B with a low-speed mechanical mixer until homogeneous (at least 2–3 minutes) and apply the mix within its pot life. Pour the mix onto the floor, spread to the required thickness with a notched trowel or squeegee and de-aerate with a spiked roller. Ambient and floor temperature must be between +10 °C and +30 °C and relative humidity below 80%; floor temperature must be kept at least 3 °C above the dew point.

APPLICATION AREAS

→ Factories and Production Plants

→ Warehouses and Logistics Centres

Technical data are average values at 20 °C and 65% relative humidity. Coverage varies with surface roughness, application method and film thickness. Consult the Gen Boya technical team for project-specific system design.
