Two-component epoxy primer with pure micronised zinc dust providing cathodic protection.
A two-component, epoxy-based anticorrosive primer containing pure micronised zinc dust and providing cathodic protection. The galvanic action of zinc actively protects the steel and forms the foundation of long-lasting protective systems in highly corrosive environments.

Utilisation et application
DOMAINES D’UTILISATION
Used for priming steel and in areas requiring high corrosion resistance, in the structural steel industry and on other steel surfaces. Suitable for steel exposed to water, seawater, chemicals and abrasion.
PRÉPARATION DE SURFACE ET APPLICATION
The surface to be painted must be free from oil, dirt, dust and moisture. Metal surfaces must be abrasive blast-cleaned to at least Sa 2½ according to ISO 8501-1 and primed within 6 hours of blasting. The surface must be rough for good adhesion. Stir components A and B separately, combine them at the specified ratio and mix with a mechanical mixer until homogeneous. Surface temperature must be at least 3 °C above the dew point; do not apply on wet or damp surfaces. Stir the mix regularly during application to keep the zinc pigment from settling.
SECTEURS D’UTILISATION
→ Steel Structures and Structural Steel
→ Storage Tanks, Pressure Vessels and LPG Cylinders
→ Petrochemical, Refinery and Chemical Plants
→ Ports, Shipyards and Coastal Structures
Technical data are average values at 20 °C and 65% relative humidity. Coverage varies with surface roughness, application method and film thickness. Consult the Gen Boya technical team for project-specific system design.
POINTS FORTS
— Cathodic protection with pure micronised zinc
— High performance in highly corrosive environments
