Evolution

Tin-free · Self-polishing · Marina and offshore

Tin-free, self-polishing antifouling that reduces friction for better fuel efficiency and a long service life.

A tin-free, self-polishing antifouling. It prevents marine organisms from attaching to the hull while reducing friction, contributing to fuel efficiency and a long service life. The film wears away in a controlled way while the boat is moving, providing a continuously active surface throughout the season.

Use and Application

AREAS OF USE

Underwater surfaces of fibreglass (GRP), wooden and steel boats; yachts and boats in marina and offshore conditions; to prevent fouling by marine organisms, algae and barnacles.

SURFACE PREPARATION AND APPLICATION

On new GRP boats, remove mould release agent residues with a suitable surface cleaner and abrade to a matt finish. On previously antifouled surfaces, wash with high-pressure fresh water, scrape off loose and flaking paint, and make sure the surface is dry, clean and grease-free. Over an antifouling of unknown compatibility, apply 424 Underwater Sealer as an isolating coat. Stir thoroughly before use and apply at least two coats by brush, roller or spray. Air and surface temperature must be above +5 °C and relative humidity below 85%; surface temperature must be at least 3 °C above the dew point.
