A special copper-free antifouling. It is safe on aluminium hulls and sensitive metal surfaces and provides long-lasting protection while minimising the risk of galvanic corrosion.

Use and Application
AREAS OF USE
Underwater surfaces of aluminium-hulled boats; around saildrives and outboard engines; galvanically sensitive metal surfaces; yachts and boats requiring a copper-free system.
SURFACE PREPARATION AND APPLICATION
Abrade aluminium surfaces, degrease with solvent, prime with at least three coats of 401 Epoxy Primer and apply 409 Vinyl Tie Coat. Stir thoroughly and apply at least two coats by brush, roller or spray. Air and surface temperature must be above +5 °C and relative humidity below 85%; surface temperature must be at least 3 °C above the dew point.
SUITABLE BOAT TYPES
Technical data are average values at 20 °C and 65% relative humidity. Coverage varies with surface roughness, application method and film thickness. Consult the Gen Boya technical team for a paint schedule tailored to your boat.
