Fibreglass (GRP) Boats

 

The main risk for GRP boats is osmosis caused by water penetrating beneath the gelcoat. An epoxy barrier coat stops water ingress and a vinyl tie coat bonds strongly to the antifouling. Above the waterline, an aliphatic polyurethane topcoat restores the colour and gloss of the gelcoat.
